Introducing Zimmer90, the innovative electronic duo comprising Finn and Josch. If you’ve been on TikTok or Instagram recently, chances are you’ve already heard the sounds of Zimmer90. The German band’s synth-soaked single ‘What Love Is’ became the de facto recap soundtrack of 2023, with its warm nostalgia and transforming ordinary videos into sun-soaked memories.

Today, Zimmer90 announce their new EP, also titled What Love Is, set for release 28 June, 2024. Building on their online success, the duo continues to enchant listeners with their unique blend of electronic and acoustic sounds. The EP follows on from a massive 2023, seeing the release of two EP’s Lake Diaries and Spaces, 28 sold-out headline shows and over 40 festivals in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria. In 2021, the beloved French label Kitsuné released Zimmer90’s debut single ‘Knocking’.

Speaking on the essence of their music, the duo explains, “We believe that there is no feeling stronger than love. It’s almost like living in a dream world, similar to a poem. Love can be the most beautiful and the most painful experience, making you vulnerable yet powerful. Through our music, we want to capture the essence of these emotions and share them with our audience”.

Zimmer90’s creative synergy stems from the complementary traits of its members. Finn brings sensitivity, mindfulness, and structure, while Josch contributes a restless creative force that invigorates their collaboration. This dynamic enables them to compose and produce all their music independently, resulting in a distinctive sound that evolves from introspective melodies to energetic, dance-worthy beats. “Zimmer90 is created by our special connection, from which the music grows. We want to build a free space where everyone can be fulfilled individually” they share.
